Help Rescue Alliance Raise Funds

Rescue Alliance is having a prize giveaway to raise money for the Rescue Alliance General Fund. This fund is primarily used for helping Rescue Alliance members pay for extraordinary veterinary expenses for foster animals. For every $5 donation made to Rescue Alliance, your name will be placed into our drawing to win this wonderful package of prizes!

How You Can Help

Rescue Alliance of Hairless & Other Breeds, Inc. functions purely on the generosity of those who want to help find homes for as many animals as possible. All rescued animals undergo a complete veterinary examination. They are either spayed or neutered, provided dental care, given all vaccinations, groomed, and are placed on a flea and heartworm preventative, if necessary. All of this usually exceeds the adoption fees. If you can't adopt a pet, you may wish to sponsor one of our fosters. Please click on "Sponsor A Pet" to learn more about our sponsor program and who is in need of sponsors.

General Fund. Donations to our General Fund are distributed to our foster homes for animals in need of extraordinary medical care. Rescue Alliance is an all-volunteer organization and our foster homes pay their own expenses out of their own pockets. Part of this fund goes to our “Speutering Fund” to assist our members with spaying and neutering expenses in an effort to help control the unwanted animal population.

Sponsorships. You may wish to sponsor an animal companion with special needs, extraordinary veterinary expenses, or for our Seniors-To-Seniors program where we match senior companion animals to senior people. Studies have shown that animal companionship greatly improves the quality of life for the elderly and people living with disabilities, illness, or little social contact. Many seniors would love to have a dog or cat, and have plenty of love and time to give a pet, but they won't adopt because they are generally on fixed incomes and do not have the money for food and care. If you would like to help sponsor a companion animal for our Seniors-To-Seniors program, then we could place an animal as a "permanent foster" and the foster home will pay all veterinary expenses and provide food for the rest of the pet's life. You would also receive photos and updates about your sponsored friend.

Memorial Gifts. Remember someone close to you by making a Memorial gift in their memory. Donations may be made in honor of a pet, friend, or family member. You'll receive confirmation of your donations and a note of sympathy will be sent to the person of your choice acknowledging your gift.

Tribute. Make a Tribute to honor a special person or occasion. Your donation can serve as a Tribute to someone who has made a difference in your life, honor a friend and loved one, or commemorate a special occasion. We'll send an acknowledgement in your name to the person you designate, and a receipt will be provided to you.

Charitable Gifts. Many employers give to United Way through payroll deduction. Many times employees may designate a charity to receive a portion of their donations. Contact your Human Resources Department for more information on how to designate Rescue Alliance of Hairless & Other Breeds, Inc. as your preferred charity.

Partnerships. We are always looking for pet-related businesses and donation organizations to partner with. Partnerships can include donations of products, services, and financial donations.
